My cat thinks it's a barber, but it's not sytlish.
She licks in certain spots way to much.
Anyone know how I can stop her form doing this to her?

I have 1 cat that does this, and 6 that don't, so it's not a contagious skin condition.

Sometimes I wonder if the excessive licking itself is the cause, those scabs and flaking skin flakes must itch, thus compounding the problem.

Whatever it is, it's caused by some sort of irritation IMO.

I'd like to be able to put something on her to keep the itch down, but the stuff at the pet store is not cheap and a home remedy is probably 10x cheaper.

I think I have heard of tea (tannins) but not up on that. I should find out more.

Once I was tired of bologna sandwiches, but now I love bologna sandwiches.
