We've had good luck just using the drops once a month, after awhile any flea larvae left in the house would have hatched and jumped onto the treated animal breaking the cycle. You need fleas to make fleas.
That's what I believe, you don't need any spray.
We haven't used advantage for months now, but it's not flea season, must wait until the weather warms up and see.
A baking soda and water solution in a spray bottle set to mist will kill flea larvae, it dries them out, desiccates them. Don't spray this on your pet, just where it lies or where you think there may be flea larvae.
